Scusset Beach where your feet go numb and tingle in less than a minute. Scusset beach is fun if your off Cape and don't feel like dealing with bridge traffic. We sometimes fish the canal while my wife goes to the beach. 
#2 Mayflower Beach is the second best beach on cape cod. You'll find the warmest water on the bay side here, likely due to the shallow water which is great if you have young children. Chapin Beach right next door is essentially the same beach and just as nice. #3 Coast Guard Beach is by far the nicest looking beach, you are shuttled to the beach in a bus after parking, to protect the environment. The water tends to be cool which is why I don't have it as #1. There are lifeguards and even an area for surfing.
